Jean M. Kolling

Jean Kolling is an attorney and principal with the law firm of Lourie & Cutler, P.C. in Boston, Massachusetts. For 25 years, Jean has counseled individuals, families, fiduciaries, businesses, and charitable organizations regarding complex tax matters, estate planning, probate and trust administration, succession planning for family businesses, business transactions, charitable giving and family investment vehicles.

As a trained mediator, Jean draws on her extensive legal experience to assist parties in resolving their disputes. Jean also serves as an expert in collaborative law cases which involve issues within her areas of expertise. She is sensitive to the estate planning and other financial challenges facing couples who are in the process of dissolving a marriage, post-divorce families, step-family relationships and closely- held family businesses.

Jean received her law degree in 1986 from Harvard Law School, where she was one of the early members of the Harvard Mediation Program. She is a frequent lecturer and her articles on estate tax matters and other issues have appeared in Estate Planning Magazine, the New England Real Estate Journal, and other publications.
