Israela Brill-Cass

Israela Adah Brill-Cass is Executive Director and ADR Program Manager at Boston Law Collaborative, LLC.  In addition to her experience as a lawyer in private practice, she is also a skilled facilitator and trained mediator. Israela mediates commercial and family law cases, provides facilitation and systems design for workplace conflicts, serves as an in-person hearing officer for wage garnishment matters involving federally-backed student loans and as a Parenting Coordinator in family law matters.  She was Co-Chair of Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE)’s First Annual ADR and the Law Conference (2009) and is part of MCLE’s faculty for mediation training programs.  Israela designed and managed the Gillette/Procter and Gamble Severance Denial Appeal Program and she has designed and managed conflict resolution programs for the Superior Court and Commonwealth agencies. During her five years at the Massachusetts Office of Dispute Resolution (MODR), she facilitated intra-agency disputes and created the first federally-funded Agricultural Mediation Program in New England.  Israela develops and provides training for mediation, arbitration, negotiation and facilitation skills and she served on a national team of ADR professionals to develop technology quantifying the benefits of mediation.  While at the American Arbitration Association, she managed Large Complex Commercial Disputes for cases exceeding $1 million in claims or counterclaims.
